Doorways and larger access areas are secured using conductive Velcro or with magnets and zippers to achieve the maximum shielding effectiveness.

This additional feature adds durability and some protection against external elements, such as rain and additional weight of the fabric helps combat some light wind issues while maintain their shielding capabilities. Faraday tents are not waterproof.
